Does anyone know if there are any expansion plans? I would love to see Softball Canada get behind this, sort of like the NWSL is and place a team in Saskatoon. The WSBC 2015 Men's Championship was just held there and it set a record for the highest attendance in tournament history. I believe the final was over 8,000, well over the capacity of Bob Van Impe Softball Stadium. Seems to me this would be a no brainer for the NPF to expand to markets that seem to take to softball.

The lone drawback to any of this is since they play a baseball style schedule, Saskatoon is a little out of the geographic region for the NPF. I don't know the financial picture surrounding the league, are teams individually owned or is it a single ownership market? What is the salary range for players? I assume they would have to fly since the teams are way too far apart to be an easy bus league.
