The way the Magic are playing, you might give them a good game.
Actually the game went very well. Hoping too continue working with the Magic to impact our community. I do think that 1 or 2 of our guys could help them.

Here's a link to the game: http://youtu.be/hHDss6bV7dY

The fans are on the side of the camera. Almost 200 in the building. It's a nice venue. Doesn't sound as lifeless with low attendance due to acoustics. One day, we will be playing at Amway with a couple thousand in the building. I believe that.

Thanks for the continued support guys. I hope it's been fun to watch. If any of you tarry downtown to Orlando, come to a game.

And its official, the Flight will be playing their 5th annual Toy Drive game at Amway, and a few other games next year as well.

http://flighthoops.wordpress.com/2014/1 ... ay-center/

"The Florida Flight will continue to play additional games at the Amway Center, thanks to an opportunity extended by the Orlando Magic.

The Flight will play a minimum of 4 additional games, beginning with the highly anticipated 5th Annual Holiday Toy Drive Charity Basketball Game in conjunction with Power 95.3’s Stuff the Bus Initiative on Sunday, December 21. The Flight will again host Team Grinches, a local team comprised of local celebrities and media personalities. The event will directly benefit the Children’s Home Society of Central Florida."

In an effort to apparently conquer all leagues Mark's Florida Flight will be taking on recent FBA Champion (and current member of the ABA) Miami Midnites this weekend, replacing the Gainesville Heat. (The Heat lost two games by an average of 96 points a few weeks back to the South Florida Gold.) This is in addition to the Flight playing up in here in NC next April against Cary.

I couldn't be happier for the Mark's continued success and willingness to play all comers.

Thanks Turbo. Just happened to read this...I missed it. We will always be willing to cooperate with other leagues. I do continue to be more and more frustrated with the ABA though. Apparently our new teamin Ocala is covering 2 more ABA cancellations to help the Midnites out. It's sad.

Looking forward to the Cary rematch though for sure. Hoping to add another game that weekend as well...not sure if other team's schedules will permit though. Are you coming? Would be great to meet you.

Keeping you all in the loop - all of the FBA Team Owners spoke today. We've voted on extending our games played and the length of our season. Not sure if we will go the full distance with the new committment this season of not. We'll play more games though. Looking at 20 now, played from March - August now.

I'm personally pretty excited about this. More announcements on the way (like the official announcement of the new Marion County Showtime Stallions acceptance into the FBA). The Flight is also adding 24 Hour Fitness as a sponsor. That one is SUPER exciting for me! Worked that for 2 years!

Happy New Year everyone!!!!

In other news, we officially added the Marion County Showtime Stallions. Here's a link to the press release.

https://floridabasketballassociation.wo ... -for-2015/

This team choose a great market. They've had 2 radio interviews, news spots on local television, etc. They're making a strong splash. There are other teams out there that have expressed interest, but we're just not in a hurry to add teams. We're real pleased to add Marion County though. Always quality over quantity with the FBA...oh, and 100% completion of our scheduled games.

We're also expanding the season to run from late March/early April - August, spreading out the games but also playing more games. More on that later.

I orchestrated a game where our newest team, the Marion County Showtime Stallions played the Palm Beach Knights Thursday, January 29th at the Amway Center. The Stallions won by 2 in overtime. The teams played after the Magic played the Bucks.

The Magic's Victor Oladipo stopped in to watch some of the game. This was what I was hoping would happen. More of this would be great!
