2011-12 ABA All Star Teams

Post by Anonymous Spectator » Thu Mar 15, 2012 9:25 pm

The ABA has named three all-star teams for 2011-12.

Smart money says one of them will "fold" before any games are played.

do players have to be on an active team or are players from teams that have folded considered... if they only include players on active teams, that will water down the pool of players.

In past seasons, it has included only those players who could afford to make the trip, or some dupe to pay for the plane or bus tickets for the players (along with hotel rooms) with the promise that they would be paid back by the league (ala Halifax a couple of years ago).

Couple of years back the ABA all star game even had a player from the Halifax Rainmen after the team had given up on the ABA and left the league.

Due to numerous threats of legal action from certain people.......all of the above is my opinion only and it should be noted that I have never invested in the ABA. It is simply one mans opinion.

Is Keith Closs STILL playing? He was washed up in 2002!

I think an exception was the all star game in Barre that was put together by the Heaves and the Mill Rats because the Gwizz dropped the ball. But I do remember one player had to wear a Heaves blue road jersey.

Honored to have been the 13th player for the Vermont Frost Heaves game on 2-16-07 against the Maryland Nighthawks.

The ABA is the basketball equivalent of Amp'd Mobile.
