ABA POWER RANKINGS THROUGH SUNDAY, NOV 27
Indianapolis, IN. The American Basketball Association (ABA) http://www.abalive.com today released its power rankings through the week of November 27th and the Jacksonville Giants and Los Angeles SLAM held onto the two top spots in spite of not having played a game. Our regular season officially begins next week, stated ABA CEO Joe Newman. Jax and LA were the pre-season favorites, and though we have played over 50 games already, were letting them hold their positions though both the Colorado Kings and the South Carolina Warriors have shown great strengths as have several other teams. Well get a better picture after this weekend.
And there ate at least six other teams that could well be in the top 24 and probably will be with a few more games under their belts, added Newman. For more information, visit http://www.abalive.com. Tickets for all ABA games are available on http://www.eventbrite.com.

Honored to have been the 13th player for the Vermont Frost Heaves game on 2-16-07 against the Maryland Nighthawks.
The ABA is the basketball equivalent of Amp'd Mobile.

So, why weren't they ranked, Joe? How far back are they in the standings? I'd say the fans want to know, but aside from Jacksonville - there really aren't any.Aba power rankings – through sunday, dec, 4
jacksonville giants hang onto #1 position in aba power rankings
indianapolis, in. The american basketball association (aba) http://www.abalive.com today released its power rankings for the week ending december 3rd, and the jacksonville giants hung onto its #1 position atop the rankings with a last second shot over the visiting gulf coast flash. “what an exciting game this was,” stated joe newman, aba ceo. “we knew that gulf coast was very tough and it was the first game of the season for the giants. With a crowd of over 3000 people standing, a last second shot saved the day for jacksonville and they held onto their number one position. The second-ranked los angeles slam won four games this week and both the colorado kings and south carolina warriors remain undefeated. Quite a battle for the #1 spot.”
“the missouri rhythm, little rock lightning, seattle mountaineers and several other teams could easily have been ranked,:” added newman. “and i would not be surprised if they were next week. There are so many good teams in the aba and all it takes is a win or two to change.”

Actually, all it takes is surviving to the end of the season to qualify for the playoffs. Whether the survivors actually choose to play post-season games is another question.
