Oklahoma City, OK. "We had our second tryout on May 1st in Oklahoma City," stated Oklahoma Stallion team owner Kelli King, "and we had a great turnout. The word is out, the Stallions are here. We invited the public out and had a nice crowd, I am really excited about this season."

"So now, we're going back to my hometown, Mangum, OK for our next tryout on Saturday, May 8th and hope to find some more outstanding players. Oh, and we had an NBA scout at the last tryout and hope he'll attend this one," added Ms. King.

don't get your hopes up too much psbf, they weren't too successful for the inaugural season. Their website seems to be only updated for tryouts to get some additional cash flow

And when the tryout money runs out, we all know what happens, and its usually preceded by a broke owner who has to change his Depends.

What a joke...I live in Oklahoma and have not heard word one about this team.....

And....a tryout camp in MANGUM? Are you kidding me? It's a town of less than 3,000 people in the middle of western Oklahoma! Looking for that small-town high school basketball star with a dream to rape for his $75?

What are guys complaining about? The chicago steam, ( which is a good name cause there owner is full of a lot of hot air), they have camps every month all year. And this guy don't even bother to advertise, he just invites the same guys over and over again. And of course charges them. Then he promises them he will take them to china, and all these other places.

These players should claim a room in his house, they have certainly paid for it.

And yes, sadly enough, there are players dumb enough to keep coming back every month and paying. Also the only way the players get paid is to sell tickets during the season.

Also, they are going to greater heights of fraud, they (aba chicago steam) now are involved in a scam camp called diamond midwest showcase, where they promise you jobs overseas. And this goes for a small cost of 250 dollars!!!!!

God help us! Where is barbara Walters and the old days of 20/20 when you need them?

I know, thanks, ot. I sent them an email with my ideas and have yet to hear back. When/if they start advertising I'll start considering them. But still, it's a long offseason, anything can happen.

Mangum, population 3000, sounds like identical twin of Winnie, Texas, future home of ABA champion Southeast Texas Mustangs. Will Mangum's games be played on an outdoor court or is there a rodeo arena nearby?

Pikeville, KY. The ABA East Kentucky Energy professional basketball team that begins play in December today announced its first tryout camp for Saturday, May 22nd. "There's no doubt that the Kentucky teams are tough," stated Energy co-founder Tom Hamilton. "Just look at the records of the Kentucky Bisons and the Bluegrass Stallions, and you know that some of the best players in the ABA are right here in Kentucky. We think that there are many more great players and hope to put together a very strong team."
The tryouts will be at 5pm on Saturday, May 22nd at Pikeville High School in Pikeville, Kentucky. For complete details and more information, email Tom Hamilton at jthamilton1@hotmail.com or call Jerry Boggs at 606 213 2452 or Tom Hamilton at 606 213 2461 or visit http://www.eastkyenergy.com or http://www.abalive.com.
Hey Tom, you may have missed the memo - I'm sure Joe failed to mention it - but the Bluegrass Satllions have left:
http://blog.kentuckysportszone.com/2010 ... px?ref=rss
The Stallions spent their inaugural season in the ABA and made a run to the final four. Stallions CEO, Tony Chase via facebook said, " The ABA will still exist, but I do not intend to be a part of that disorganized league next year. That is why this league has been formed."
