NBDL to 15 teams?
With Anaheim unveiled it is safe to say there will be 15 teams. There are now 14, and David Stern said he would like 15 teams with two NBA affiliates. If they are going to suburbs of big cities, Gwinnett could be a possibility if they want to stay in the east. But I've heard they are moving out of the east so that might not happen. I have also heard Council Bluffs is a possibility.
With the PitBulls, I'd think this is how the affiliates would be:
FL PitBulls - Miami, New Jersey
FL Flame - Orlando, Boston
Colorado - Denver, Utah
Anaheim - LA Clippers, Milwaukee
Ft. Worth - Dallas, Atlanta
Austin - Houston, San Antonio
Albuquerque - Phoenix, Sacramento
Tulsa - New Orleans, Indiana
Arkansas - Memphis, Cleveland
Bakersfield - LA Lakers, Portland
Idaho - Seattle, Golden State
Sioux Falls - Toronto, Chicago
Dakota - Minnesota, Detroit
Fayetteville - Charlotte, New York
Roanoke - Washington, Philadelphia

Sorry, I couldn't resist
The way the Lakers are playing, wouldn't it be:toad455 wrote:Bakersfield - LA Lakers, Portland

The Lakers are expected to own a D-League team themselves. It would be the first NBA team own a minor league team. The team would play at the Staples center and some games would be part of a double header with the D-League team playing in the afternoon. With the addition of the Los Angeles team and possible the Florida PitBulls would bring the league to 16 teams.
D-League with 30 teams.
David Stern said he expects the D-League to reach 30 teams, one for each NBA team. Here's what I think it'll look like:

Buffalo
Albany
Uncasville, Connecticut(Mohegan Sun Arena)
Burlington, Vermont

It looks like the Lakers are about to get a team as well (which should be announced next Tuesday at the owners meetings).
Is this Ft. Lauderdale Pitbulls thing legit? Or am I hearing wrong? Also are there any other message boards for minor league hoops? I ask because I enjoy reading the thoughts here.
