Massey Ratings SUCK!!!!!

Post by agqkindaguy » Thu Mar 25, 2010 1:27 am

Dude for real the first rankings suck I can agree with Western Michigan at top but as far asw the rest of the rankings it's crap. I'm not an Outlaws fan but they should be in the top five. You need a new formula or another site to post your rankings. As an avid follower of the IFL the placement of some of the teams on the lower tier should be higher. I don't agree with the rankings cause some teams have only played a few games where some of the teams have played more. You can't base a rankings system with a league schedule like this so maybe you need to look at a better way to make the rankings more appealings to the IFL fans. Food for thought!!!!

Be patient. All the teams need to get 3-4 games under their belts before the ratings stabilize. There is too little data at this point in the season.

The ratings are based completely on a mathematical formula, not anyone's opinion. That's why it generally takes a few weeks for there to be enough data for the ratings to solidify.

Whoooah, I feeling a little woozy. Oh, wait. It must just be dejavue.

Let's go to page two, a thread started by the same kinda guy on 2/18

//www.oursportscentral.com/boards/ ... hp?t=16773

Paul explained it then and here we go again.

Couldn't you just have reposted in your original thread instead of starting a new one about the same thing?

I'm aware what was said on 2/18 my point is you don't need three or four weeks to make ratings or rankings why can't it be more like the BCS they don't need four more weeks to compile information... They need a change..

Actually, the computer-based college football ratings do take several weeks to really kick in. How would you suggest you do computer based ratings based upon limited or no data?

I think this is the first time ever I have seen somebody use the BCS as an example of how things are done right!
