The 2010 CIFL team alignment, budget and
other announcements are expected in a week
or so. Although wikipedia is reporting expansion
to Canton, Oh., Johnstown, Pa., Toledo, Oh. and
possible resurrection of the Lexington, Ky. franchise.
These are to be added to the already announced
locations of Ft.Wayne, In., Marion, Oh., and
Madison, Wi. And the relocated franchises at
Cincinnati (old Miami Valley) and Chicagoland
(old Milwaukee).
League announcements about a week away.

The league has concluded their owners meeting in Fort Wayne, Indiana.
We learned a few things from the meetings that can be made official:
1) The CIFL will now play 8 on 8 football starting in 2010.
2) There will be at least six teams in the league.
3) Most teams will get at least 5 home games. Some will get 6.
4) The league should have the schedule finalized with in the next 10 days.
*There is a possiblity 1 or 2 more teams may be added, so that is why the delay*
5) Any other modifications to the rules or other league announcements will be
made when the schedule is disclosed...
