New team coming my way.I got ????
New team coming my way.I got ????
It was announced today that an AIFA team would be playing in Greenville
South Carolina. The team will be called The CAROLINA FORCE ! ! !They will
have 7 home games starting in March.
To this fine news I say ..... WOOOOOHOOOOO ! ! ! ! BRING IT ON !!
Now that I have said that, tell me about the league. Is it a strong league?
Good talent level? Experienced coaches?Ticket prices? etc, etc.
A couple of years ago we had an similar announcment from another league, but the
team never happened and never played a game.Soo,I have my fingers crossed about
this one.I've been an indoor fan for the better part of 15+ years supporting the
Charlotte Rage,Carolina Rhinos and the Carolina Cobras and ready for more !
So now the AIFA has the Carolina Force and Carolina Speed.
I have a suggestion for that.
If both would be willing to change their names to the North Carolina Speed and the South Carolina Force, that would work out excellent!

Nice to see they got ASHEVILLE wrong in their press release.
Not the first time the AIFL, no wait, I'm sorry, it's supposed to be a WHOLE NEW LEAGUE (that let Haines in) got Asheville wrong, is it?
I'll remember this team about as long as it takes for me to walk to my car....

Never make anyone a priority that makes you an option.
Yeah,I know how you feel Minor League Man,I really liked the Rhinos.
If these people can put the same caliber product on the field as the
Rhinos I think it will work out great.
I thought having the "Carolina" first name was abit odd myself. Why not
Greenville or South Carolina ?
I'm just waiting for ticket info and team colors.

I had season tickets for both the Rage and Cobras. I had a season ticket for the Carolina Sharks before the AIFL shut that team down three days before the start of that season.
The Carolina Speed debuted two seasons ago, and I've only gone to one game in those two seasons. The team is playing in Charlotte this season and has moved from the Cabarrus Arena and Events Center which was 40 miles from my home.
My experience there was mixed. A couple of OSC posters criticized me for my report on what I saw. What surprised me the most was the game I attended was supposed to have been a charity exhibition game but ended up counting in the standings. Right now I am on the fence on whether to buy season tickets for the Speed this season.
