That is the message on http://www.wifl.us

So is it now time to say goodbye to this league and purge this forum?

The WIFL is dead...So delete the boards.
Proud to be a veteran of these boards for the last 5 years...

This truly sucks because I had great hopes for this league, and a lot of good things happened this year, like playing all the games, but yes, indoor football is an expensive game to play.

I rather it was this way than mid-season.

I'm disappointed they will not at least send a PR or a note on the board thanking the fans and thanking the taxpayers of the cities involved for renting out their arenas to the WIFL. They should correct that immediately. You should never burn bridges for no good reason.

Seems like same as usual to me... somewhere, there's a stakeholder still dreaming of getting new teams in the fold next year. Somewhere else, there's a team stakeholder (see that Tallahassee article today) dreaming of keeping his team alive despite all available evidence.

This does not mean I can begin to describe what goes on in the mind of Carolyn Shiver. Perhaps that's why I favor the drug habit hypothesis.

EDIT - OK, may as well post the Tallahassee article. http://www.tallahassee.com/apps/pbcs.dl ... 002/SPORTS
