Indoor football season is not over

Post by gonzo13 » Wed Jun 27, 2007 7:15 pm

The WIFL championship game will be played this weekend in Columbus Georgia.

It's a pretty big deal to the folks in Columbus, there has been pre game coverage on the front page of the Columbus Ledger-Enquirer on Tuesday and Wednesday (that's today) this week.

It has also recieved coverage from the local television and radio stations throughout the week.

The WIFL homepage and messageboard (links in my signature)are being updated daily with info about the teams, the game, and the events leading up to it.

If you're a diehard AIFA fan and wouldn't be caught dead on the WIFL boards we do have the "invisible" feature.

It's the Technology age equivalent of the bags on the heads of New Orleans "Aints" fans of the 80's.

So if you're still in need of an indoor football fix, stop by and give the WIFL a look.

We promise we won't bite.
Just when I thought I was out....They pull me back in.

It's Really Over!!!

The Augusta Spartans have won.. Bubba Diggs and his coaching staff along with calibers of players that are gifted on so many levels have brought the championship trophy home to Augusta. The game Saturday night was exciting, thrilling down to last 18 seconds but with hard work, dedication, talent and determination.. it was "done". Although we only had a handful of dedicated fans which included family members, fans, etc.. we were clearly out numbered as we sat in the Columbus Arena with 3,500 Lion fans all around telling us to go home.. but we stayed the course.
Augusta Spartans are truly Champions in every since of the word.. off the field as well as on the field.

Baby, it' over now..!!!
