Charleston Sandsharks

Post by phydeaux72 » Mon Oct 09, 2006 8:03 pm

I noticed that the Charleston Sandsharks website is back online. However, it still has all references to the NIFL and nothing new as far as news is concerned. OSC still has them listed as WIFL. Has the league or the team made anything official?

De3finately not WIFL

The people who had the money in Charleston pulled out after the management opted for WIFL. No relationship there, just a matter of timing.
I am surprised that their website is back up because they are quite dead !

Definately not the WIFL

The financial backers pulled out after the announcement of them joining the WIFL came out. There is no relationship between the two, other than the timing. It was a shock to see the web page working again because unless there are new investors I am not aware of, they are quite dead in the sand !

If true, this isn't entirely a surprise. I know of at least one league desperately searching for teams that has a history of seemingly taking almost all applicants.
