Lou Ferrigno played in the CFL for two games

I doubt anyone even knew this.

Ferrigno said he played two games for the Argos before he was cut - an achievement in itself since he had never played the game.

"I had a great time but I didn't like the hitting. I came there to scrimmage and just play for the experience. I made a lot of good friends and had a good time."

I have no record of him playing in the CFL, and our player participation numbers came directly from the league.

Haven't found a shred of a clue about this either.

0 for 3

I checked the Argos rosters for 72-76 and no Hulk.
Maybe he was there for a couple of camp scrimmages and he counted that as games?

Did the same for 1974 to 1978. No sign of him. If that ever happened, wouldn't someone else have reported that?

How about THIS!

No record of him playing a regular game. So maybe preseason.

Interesting that he's the only guy in that photo without pads or a uniform on.

So the photo is from June 3, 1976. Here's the caption:
Lou Ferrigno (left); former Mr. Universe; watches would-be Argonaut teammates in scrimmage at CNE Stadium yesterday. Not wearing equipment because of injury; Ferrigno; who's never played football before; is looking on intently and undoubtedly is picking up some valuable tips. Total of 138 rookies have been working out daily. Holdoy from last year's team report tomorrow.
The 1976 CFL regular season opened July 20, so it is looking very much like this was a preseason stint.
