USBL Statement
I was curious to know if the USBL League Office will, at some point, make an official statement as to the status of their league?

Why on earth would they do that? That would do 2 things: 1) Send the stock price even lower and 2) further devalue the brand that the Messenheimers were reportedly trying to sell for a ridiculous price.
The USBL's best strategy is to continue to pretend all is well so that someone might actaully buy the brand or try to buy an expansion team.

If you're looking at buying the league and keeping all the teams, that's a bad idea. Too spread out and their budget was too much. If you're looking at buying the name, website, and logo rights and the current owners keep their debts, maybe not a bad idea.
USBL has had one heckuva run and it's sad to see them go...
$1 million was the rumor I heard.
In either case, it's ridiculous.
I agree that the USBL brand might be worth something, but the league itself, especially with the debt, is worthless in my opinion.
Here's the latest:

I do like the fact that the league made a net profit of $7,000 for the quarter
USBL stock is at .42
ABA stock is at .06
WHA stock is at .0027
so if you love losing money, invest in minor league sports (outside of affiliated baseball and the upper tiers of AAA and AA hockey).

Who, in their right mind, would invest in the USBL?
Really if you are out there, please contact me. I have swamp land available right now!

Unique ideas lead to prison. Don't name your son after a baseball glove. "Listen dude, do you really want the SEX??"
