Welcome to the USBL, NEPA Breakers!

Hope you can last there!
BTW, could you move them to the USBL?
If not, that's OK, because
1)ABAlive doesn't have it on yet
2)USBL.com doesn't have them on yet.
3)You have a certain "policy"
Proud to be a veteran of these boards for the last 5 years...

Chris Sandy

The NEPA Breakers made a transaction during the 2006 season, trading guard Chris Sandy to the Brooklyn Kings for gusrd Tony Cavalieri. Sandy played for the Strong Island Sound of the ABA in 2005-06 and was instrumental in guiding the team to the Final 4 in Rochester.

He also is a former Harlem Globetrotter, but you would not guess that by watching him play. He is totally unselfish on the court and looks to set up the play as the point guard instead of looking to score.

Just curious if anyone has any insight on how the team played with him and after the deal. Thanks.

but then I heard they were being re-incarnated with a new name. Also, I heard they were moving to Newark, DE.

Who knows? The USBL doesn't release much except now and then when adding teams.

That rumor is very strong(moving to Delaware). We'll see what happens.

The Breakers are being renamed (perhaps the Destroyers?) and will play in Newark Delaware at the Univ. of Del.

Is there any form of press release about this?

I trust you, I am just wondering cause I have been searching for info on the USBL for weeks, the only news I find is about the Steelheads, Sun Ming Ming, and that one tiny article about the Jackson Wildcats.

No there has been no release or public announcement, but that is the scoop straight from the horse's mouth back in September....

P.S. The Destroyers monicker is my pure speculation...
