Did I read correctly that the guys who ran the Jam in Bakersfield want to use a 550-seat gym for home games? I hope I got that wrong because that would be totally rinky-dink, even for the D-League.
I doubt its wrong, LA already went that route years ago (5 or 6) with a home court with only 362 seats, if I remember correctly.

The Jam used a different business model than other teams. Basically, every seat was a luxury box (without the box). Sold to corporate accounts with waiter service, tables, chafing tables, etc. It was a high-end experience for business networking with the appropriate prices.
