The reader's comments were priceless:
"knightranger
Why not move the Magic to one of these sites and put the D league team in the Amway? Can't be any worse and most of the Magic players could use a few years of D league play because they aren't getting any better in their current roles."
"mhhs62
I thought the Tragic WAS a D League team."

I find attending games in Maine to be a great experience. Boston is generous having supplied four affiliated players and assigning four different nba players to play in Maine. They are very competitive having qualified for the playoffs. The atmosphere is great with a full arena on most nights of a little over 2700 fans. Plus the local management has improved the experience from hard bleachers at inception to now center court seats are arena seating by hussey seating and the adjacent sections now are more comfortable with seat backs.

I'm wondering with the current season set to finish next month if the D-League will set it's 2016-17 season with just 22 teams. This is all assuming Minnesota's potential deal with Rochester & Omaha's potential franchise not coming through in time. The D-League typically doesn't have expansion teams join just a few months before the season is set to begin.

it should set-up the league alignment for 2016-17 like this:

ATLANTIC:
Maine
Westchester
Long Island
Delaware
Greensboro

CENTRAL
Toronto
Erie
Canton
Grand Rapids
Fort Wayne
Windy City(Chicago)

SOUTHWEST
Iowa
Sioux Falls
Austin
Oklahoma City
Rio Grande Valley
Texas

WEST
Bakersfield
Idaho
Los Angeles
Santa Cruz
Reno

and as previously rumored during this season, the Idaho Stampede will relocate to Salt Lake City, Utah for the 2016-17 season.

so much for Jacksonville. I wonder if Atlanta or Miami would consider Jacksonville.

I think in terms of Atlanta, if they did not put it in Gwinnett they would still have Macon, Birmingham, and Chattanooga as closer options.

No clue what Miami will eventually do long term.
