The problem with Colorado is that they are way too close to Denver.... so they compete with Broncos, Aves and Nuggets.... plus there is like 3-4 minor league hockey teams in the region..... If they'd move to Casper WY or Rapid City SD they'd have 3 times the attendance, more sponsership... travel would be a little more but it don't work when you are that close to the major market....

I heard that the 14ers owner tried to get out of the league last summer. I don't think they will stay in Broomfield but if they win it all, don't be surprised if they are re-located. I would think the league wouldn't want the champion to fold right after they win the championship.

Three words: BUDWEISER EVENTS CENTER. (home to the Eagles and Ice). They could keep their name, logo, & everything too!

I would LOVE to see that. Is there someone around who would buy the team? Or at least be willing to cover the Franchise Fee? I'm sure the league would work out some sort of deal.

I like that idea. It's a win-win situation: the team would stay afloat, and a rather solid market would have a team to call their own. Kind of like my St. George, UT idea, but I won't go into that here.
