Four in a row for the X

Post by psbf » Wed Jan 09, 2008 2:45 am

A pretty good turnout tonight saw the Xplosion win, 128-101 over Great Falls, who again wore the X old home uniforms. The Explorers managed to take a point after the third period and sloppy play by the X made things close, but they managed to pull away in the 4th. The X are now 13-11.

that the Minot webcast looks like they have about 2,000 there. It may not be that many but good crowd, although I can't hear the game.

Good for you PSBF, congrats. I am a new member and have spent last few weeks reading a lot of glass half empty analysis from what appears to be some members who would like to see the CBA fail. League needs more fans like you. You guys really took it to us in Albany this past weekend. Degroat, Fountain, Mickens, White came out strong, we came out sleep walking and were never able to overcome the deficit despite waking up in 2nd half on Saturday night. They shot 61%, felt like they shot 99%, especially in 1st half. I am looking forward to the "new look" Explorers in Albany Thursday night and hopefully, pick up some ground on Minot who also appear to be getting nothing but stonger.

Patroons1 and ty for the kind words.
I watched the Minot webcast and they won 118-86(if I saw the score correctly). Great crowd!
This is the longest winning streak of the season, for the Xplosion(4) as they take to the road for 10 games. Hopefully they will continue to be strong.
The Patroons have a good team and it surprised me that we took two of three up there. I believe in taking no teams lightly. This is a tough Division and I hope we can make our mark. I'm sure that the Patroons will come out of it eventually. But I can relate to how you felt, with the kind of season we had last year. But keep your head up.

1400 something announced attendance tonight in Minot... looked like one of the biggest crowds of the year so far... pretty good for a weeknight.

Crowd was 1,438, your 4th largest of the season. Minot's last four home games have drawn 1,427, 1,419, 1,468, and 1,438.
