Referees

Post by MathProf64 » Wed Oct 07, 2009 11:39 pm

Out of very idle curiosity, I was wondering if any of the former CBA refs from the last few seasons are working as replacement refs in the NBA during the preseason lockout.

Anyone here have access to that type of info?

if you've seen the Lakers highlights from last night, i'm 99% sure that the young ref who Kobe pats on the head is a former CBA official from recent years. white guy, early 30's, balding... I think he's from the Bismarck ND or Fargo ND area. will try to find a name.

Replacement officials in the NBA were pulled from the Dleague and WNBA and a few were former staffers. Granted, some have worked in the CBA in the past. Will be interesting to see how they staff the Dleague officials now that most have moved up or been terminated.

Corey McCray is doing a game tonight. He had a couple Minot games last year.
