The PBL does not have any interest in the Florida Flight joining the league.
.... in your opinion. And you of course are entitled to it. But I should point out that opinion is not a synonym to fact. If this is cofusing for you I'll link to an online dictionary below and you can look up both FACT and OPINION so you can compare and contrast the two different words... and their two very different meanings.

I can see you are very opinionated, but so far Sir you have presented ZERO facts and have ZERO credibility.
I'm also sure if you contact a mod they'd be happy to change your screen name to basketball opinions. Just explain to them that you got the definitions confused, and I'm sure they will understand.

If someone knows the CBA is coming back this year then answer these questions....
1. When will it be back?
2. How many teams will be apart of it?
We already know that there is only one team left from last year, Albany, that still conciders to be in the league. The owners of the Lawton/Ft. Calvary have already stated that they will not come back to the CBA and are in the process of applying to play in the PBL.
3. Where will these NEW teams be located?
Personally I too would like to see the league come back and play this year. I enjoyed watching the games and participating in chats here in the message boards.
But, the only way I can see the league coming back is to change its business model and how it allows teams in the league. Too many wanna be owners that the league allowed in just to say it had teams and a schedule. Everyone knows how that end up.

Cavs, I think your team is better off in the PBL. From my knowledge of this league in what I've read, it will not be back and the Albany Patroons are almost at the point of being defunct.
The CBA would need a new name to have any chance and I think if DT were still with the league he would be the only credit the league would have(imo).
I would like to see it return also, but I know the realization.
I also read where the East Kentucky Miners and Minot Skyrockets are now history, having been dissolved. This according to the Albany Times-Union last Thursday online edition.

The CBA is sort of like Brett Favre,
goes away,
comes back,
quits,
comes back,
officially out,
comes back,
gone forever,
thinking about coming back
Its all well and good to say someone, somewhere will fire up some kind of league under the auspices of the Continental Basketball Association but................
It needs to work when it is actually "back".
Not some birdbrained cross league games with the ABA, not some 4 team league in places most people have only ever seen on a map, but a functioning, funded, proper league.
The USFL is coming back too, the WHA tried to come back, the ABA has come back, but (the following is not towards the USFL, the jury is out on that) none of these will be or have been nearly as good as the original because its usually underfunded dreamers trying to parlay a payday loan, credit card check or a 401k withdrawal to simply get the doors open. All on the hopes that the public will all come racing in to see the "new" ABA or WHA or CBA and they can use the first nights ticket sales to fund the rest of the season.
If the CBA does come back, great, I'd like to see it, but don't soil a once proud name the way Isiah did (IMO).

"If games are missed, it hurts no one" ...... ABA CEO Joe Newman 2/9/09
Due to numerous threats of legal action from certain people.......all of the above is my opinion only and it should be noted that I have never invested in the ABA. It is simply one mans opinion.

It won't work. The economy has finished off the decline of this league. With the D League growing in size, it's hard to justify joining a small league that can't bill itself as the direct pipeline to the NBA anymore. It's D League or nothing, in my eyes.
The CBA tried. They did. It is just a shell of what it once was.

There will be NO CBA next season.... let reality set in a little. The CBA still owes over $ 300,000 to various vendors and lot more money to Fernandez the majority owner of the CBA. There are CBA refs that havent been paid since January. etc etc.
Even if the league became a very small regional league NO ONE is going to put up hundreds of thousands of dollars to fund the league operations and travel.
Its done.
The only crazy rumor I heard was that Joe and fernandez want to work together somehow and the east would have a CBA divsion in the ABA.
Those two belong together, just not in the basketball world.
