Cavalry 91, Miners 79

Post by Precious Roy » Sat Jan 17, 2009 4:42 am

Cavs use a 27-14 third quarter and 23 second-half points from DeAnthony Bowden (29 total) to remain unbeaten at 5-0. Quarter points go 5-2 Cavs.
Mike Dean held to 14 points and Jermaine Blackburn has only 18 in the loss.
The third and fourth quarters were very chippy, with many hard fouls and other fouls that were not called on both sides.
Things could get ugly by Sunday night.

Quick question for anyone in Pikeville, what is the name of the main paper that covers your area?
Right now I have the Appalachian News Express as the paper of record for the Miners, but they haven't updated their site in a long time.
I'm trying to get in touch with all the other papers that cover the CBA so we can work out an exchange of box scores because I don't think the stat tracker is working and I have a lot of trouble just following what the radio guy for the Cavs is saying.
Any help would be fantastic.

You are correct.. it is the appalachian news express....

local games are on local radio... http://www.wpke.com

Coach Keathley's weekly tv show is webcast at http://www.wymt.com

I certainly miss last year's webcasts... any progress? thanks for posting as I checked the Lawton radio website again, but no link for radiocasts.

News Express is the correct paper, its just they dont update their online paper unless you pay for it...then you have to log on to see it and etc...but I heard the Cavalry won again...does anyone have final score or stats from game? (Sat)
Thanks...i would look for a contact number on the news express page and call them that'll be your best bet... :)

Also, I don't understand why Turner starts. He's not good, McLeish and Crain are much better. I know that you have to play to your fan base and bring in the KU guy, but damn.
Game three at 2:05 p.m. Sunday.

Looks to me with a 3 game sweep of the Miners, we may need to go back to the drawing board and re-evaluate some things and hope things get better, may see some changes??? Good Job Okla. on your victories well deserved

McLeish and Crain started today instead of Dean and Turner, and it was a good move. I think a tandem of McLeish and Dean will be trouble down the road.
Blackburn is a stud, and if it weren't for some solid defense he would have just owned the Cavs.
