As stated in the E-mail from Chichester to his ABA refs,,,, the ABA saved the CBA.
As stated by Joe to owners on a conference call.... the ABA saved the CBA.
As stated by Joe to Potential ABA owners...The CBA recognized that we are the best league out there and the CBA may merge with us this summer.
There you go CBA,,,,,,,,,,,,,you deserve this reputation now. WHen you join crap you become crap.
The only smart thing that will happen is Oklahoma ( CBA) will join PBL as a result of all this. East Kent will fold. MInot will fold. Albany will go to the ABA unless the CBA starts giving away franchises like the ABA.
In these economic times, the only business league for an owner is the PBL....the league pays for travel, refs and uniforms,,, no fees from owners.
The CBA is doomed. The ABA doesnt count. The D-league is over priced in operating expense and pays the players less then most PBL teams.
How sad...ABA saved the CBA
