It's not an issue about lack of funds. Pittsburgh ownership, as a whole, probably has more money than every owner of every other CBA, ABA and PBL team combined. How they decide to spend those funds is anyone's guess.
Xplosion do have a year remaining on their lease, so they won't be popping up in a high school gym TBD any time soon.
I can't say I know what kind of strategy, if any, Pitt is using but we've been reassured that all things are a go.
Improvements are needed!
How can you know Pitt's ownership has all this money if you don't know who the ownership is? Or do you know and you aren't divulging that info for privacy matters?

that anyone says here is just guesswork(unless someone has an unknown source), since the Xplosion have not released any info. One thing I would like to do is correct Front Office. The Xplosion began in the ABA and have spent two season in this league, so they have 2 years left on their lease, not 1.

Yeah maybe the new Pitt. owners are the CBA and every other team in the CBA splitting the cost. Then they sure would have more money than any "individual" owner ship group in the CBA.
If not, and there is an ownership group, they better get their act together. Playing out a season like this will undoubtedly hurt the CBA as a whole, just like Great Falls and Atlanta did. 2 seasons in a row with stunts like this will bring more red flags!
