Seattle Explorers
Isn't that the same area that Clay Bennett and company wanted to see about moving to Sonics to?
Our two Casinos here in Lawton - Ft. Sill Apache Casino and Comanche Nation Casino have become big sponsers of the Calvary. Good promotions and give aways.
Monday's game vs. Yakama should be a real fun game. Native American night. Comanche Tribe $25,000 Hot Shot Contest! and they want everyone to wear Cavs blue! That should be something to see on the webcast.

Tulalip is north of EVERETT. They don't seem to list an arena, but mention a convention center and an outdoor amphitheater.
Emerald Queen, essentially in Tacoma, boasts a 2,500 seat "showroom" (thinking back to the times New York Liberty played in Radio City Music Hall). I know they're always advertising on Fox Sports Northwest. I doubt they're building anything bigger.
That's north and south. East? Did something go up in North Bend? (only 30 miles out) Monroe? Puyallup? No secret that the area is still growing.
I still think Seattle is either vaporware or vapors in Tuckman's imagination.

I heard something about Tacoma's IBL team playing its games at the Emerald Queen Casino starting in 2009, so there might be some sort of expansion in the works. Of course who knows if Tacoma's IBL team will be around in 2009.
For the 2008-09 season, the only possible places to put a minor league team in the Seattle area that isn't a college or high school would be Key Arena, the old Mercer Arena (maybe), Meydenbauer Center in Bellevue, the Everett Events Center, the new Kent Events Center, or the Tacoma Dome.

Kent's arena is supposed to seat 6,500, but that's not associated with a casino; city of Kent and the state shared in funding it. Additionally, the WHL Seattle Thunderbirds (guess I'm being nice to S**ttle today) are going to be the primary tenant there, and Northwestern cities tend to demand sizable rents for their public facilities, so I seriously doubt Tuckman will fare better. Perhaps he thinks KONG owes him some ad time or something.

I know a handful of anarchists who wouldn't let him get away with that one.
However, I'm convinced he has no place to move... anywhere in the Puget Sound area, anyway. They do talk amongst themselves. Who would deal with him?

Ok maybe I am mistaken but I was under the understanding that there is a 6,500 or so arena that is owned by a Tribe I don't think its part of a casino but it maybe that way, it may be just getting built or being planned on getting built..... When Seattle was looking at building a new arena they looked at building one in the area of this one, but I really don't know I'm not from the area or anything I'm just saying what I have heard on other forums about the Seattle situation...
Tuckman has to go!
The league has to show some credibility and pull the franchise from Tuckman!
