Now that the SEC report came out that the ABA is broke (less then $98K in the bank.....not even enough to field a bad ABA team....aren't they all though?) and the chances of the league even making it to the first week of the season are slim, will the Rainmen still play and if so.....why??!!
You have a man, Joe Newman who has taken an organization and LOST $20 million in value, who has FAILED at every venture he has ever tried, has more lawsuits and business enemies than Enron and has his "corporate office" out of his basement.........and he STILL gets you suckers to believe in him after 7 horrible years of ownership. Are you all that stupid? Are you all that blind?? Ask yourself, do you REALLY want to be in a league that only requires $10K to get in? Look at the idiots that own teams? Former child predators, criminals, bankrupt and credit challenged hoods, etc., etc., etc.,.

In any event, if you decide to play in this league than...not IF...but WHEN teams start folding and the ABA is on its last legs (with $98K in the bank how is it NOT!!!??) you deserve the blame. I mean my God, look at the AHL and minor league baseball, they have $5 million+ in the bank or a credit line!!!!! Their teams have that as well, doesn't the MASSIVE failures of ABA teams and the consistent crminal activities of Joe Newman bother you??? This is a public company he has demolished and STOLEN from? he has bilked thousands of sponsors, owners and ticket holders?? Wake up you idiots.....WAKE UP!!!
The ABA....whether you want to believe it or not is looked at as a Rec league and nothing more. Teams without uniforms, refs not showing up, games played at jr. high's and fitness centers, 5 fans to a game......think what you want but sports writers, the NBA and European leagues laugh at the ABA...especially anyone that has the balls to call themselves an owner!!!! Who in their right mind would brag about being an "owner" in the ABA???
In any event, you have a crooked, lying and stealing owner......just look at the hundreds of lawsuits and failed ventures.....and a league on the brink of collapse. Do you REALLY want to invest your time, money and reputation in your community to a despicable human being like Joe Newman????
