The Philadelphia Sounds

ABA returns to Philadelphia in 2008
06/30/07 - American Basketball Association (ABA)

//www.oursportscentral.com/service ... id=3497737
"We (Philadelphia Sounds) are also pleased to have billionaire Beryl J. Wolk, marketing genius extraordinaire as part of our organization to assist with the local marketing and promotion of our team."
I hate to say it ...

But ... The ABA has the Strong Island Sound ... and Now ... the Philadelphia Sounds.

Wow, That's Team Sports Marketing Genius!

i guess the billionaire marketing guru is an idiot. because they have already failed a good amount of steps.

Real Pro Teams announce themselves along with that

they announce the venue and show that theres an agreement or contract with the venue

a website since thats imperative to market your team

tryouts for players along with a player signing.

This league keeps on making me sick.

Ya,

In a 7 team league, ABA 2000 had the Detroit Dogs, the Tampa Thunderdawgs and the Memphis Houn'dawgs.

Oh ya they all folded too. Incredible how the more things change the more they stay the same.

Nothing says quality like a press release on a Saturday morning.

I'm stunned that someone who thinks they are a "billionaire marketing genius" would put out a press release announcing the existence of their team
on Saturday morning.

That will certainly be the lead story in the sports section in Philadelphia.

I believe that this press release will make it to OSC and nowhere else.

Thank you ABA for making me smile.

Everytime I see this stupidty. it makes me so glad that i put my money into a real team, a real league. Yes all teams have their issues and hey they have to be fixed but when you start off in the wrong foot it will always be in the wrong foot
