BTW, the ABA lists 110 teams for this season. That might be a record.

If 25 percent of those teams play their entire schedule (home and away) with no replacement teams or ad hoc teams gathered from the local YMCA or rec center on the day of a scheduled game, that would be a record.
Remember the NBA paid a ransom to get rid of what was left of any relationship to the aba rights to share anything with the NBA, and that already didn't include the current aba people.
Can you explain this?

Or translate it, one.

By the way, it's December 15. Did this team tip off?

And whatever happened to that kid with the Brooklyn Skyrockets?

According to the newest ABA domain name and website (http://abaliveaction.com/) there is no mention of the Hawaii team in the standings.

BTW, the website is a total mess but that is to be expected.

On the official Hammerheads site, there is no news posted since August.

But... for some reason it is posted that they won't be playing games until March 2017.

The Hawaii team had a schedule out, but looks like they scrubbed any mention of it though recently. Apparently, they didn't have an actual sponsorship to fly teams from Vegas to Hawaii though. Not too surprised though either, because only one team on that schedule, Jacksonville Giants, could afford that trip, and that includes the Vegas team scheduled.

Looks like the Brooklyn SkyRockets (team ran by the kid) has folded.

Oh, Joe.

We're coming up on, what, 16 years of this nonsense, now? Wasn't it 12/26/2000? Or was it 12/26/1999 when they had their first game?

I think it was 2000. I can't believe there are still suckers willing to plunk down any sort of money on the ABA. I also can't believe Jacksonville hasn't found a new league to play in. Granted the only big money league in their neck of the woods is the D-League and they were told no long ago.

Man I miss the 1990s when minor league basketball was in a boom phase and Saskatoon had teams. I loved going to games as a kid. Someone not named Joe Newman needs to create a league in the Midwest/Canadian Prairies again. A summer league like the WBL/NBL would be the most ideal.

The fact those leagues all went belly-up doesn't dissuade you in any way from that opinion?
