#8 from the power rankings has already "no showed" a local opponent. Makes you wonder how and what the other teams are doing. I hate it for the handful of ownership groups that do things right.

Aba power rankings – through sunday, dec, 4

jacksonville giants hang onto #1 position in aba power rankings

indianapolis, in. The american basketball association (aba) http://www.abalive.com today released its power rankings for the week ending december 3rd, and the jacksonville giants hung onto its #1 position atop the rankings with a last second shot over the visiting gulf coast flash. “what an exciting game this was,” stated joe newman, aba ceo. “we knew that gulf coast was very tough and it was the first game of the season for the giants. With a crowd of over 3000 people standing, a last second shot saved the day for jacksonville and they held onto their number one position. The second-ranked los angeles slam won four games this week and both the colorado kings and south carolina warriors remain undefeated. Quite a battle for the #1 spot.”

So, why weren't they ranked, Joe? How far back are they in the standings? I'd say the fans want to know, but aside from Jacksonville - there really aren't any.

Actually, all it takes is surviving to the end of the season to qualify for the playoffs. Whether the survivors actually choose to play post-season games is another question.

At least 24 teams have won three or more games, so I think that threshold has been met. And Jacksonville & Gulf Coast are not included--haven't played enough games yet.
