I agree with all of the other posters who have mentioned it - this ABA/CBA cooperation has a huge possibility of creating a level playing field for the CBA and the ABA. If these games aren't blow outs, future investors will not see the distinction between the two leagues, and the CBA will be hurt much more than the ABA from this.

If the games are blowouts, fans aren't going to be too excited to come out during the month of December. Sure, your season ticket holders will probably be there, but having any ambitions of getting new customers during the month of December (if, in fact, games turn really ugly) may be foolish!
A classic no-win situation.
the game is in Owensboro under ABA rules... it will be interesting as none of the Miners have played under the 3D rule... too bad no webcast
Sooo...someone help me out with this...

The CBA decides to allow ABA competition for December to fill the void of the Pittsburgh away games, but the Miners are going to Owensboro to play the Bisons? Doesn't that cheat the fans, especially the season ticket holders, out of a home game?

And doesn't this impact the financial goals of the Miners, who undoubtedly planned for a certain amount of home games?

What about sponsors? They expect a certain amount of games, too, right?

Zeke it's likely replacing a road game against Pitt.

Larry,

Any details on the game? What was the attendance? Is there a press release coming on the game? Any media coverage?

You know what?

This league is barely even worth laughing at anymore. It's not even meeting my needs in terms of schadenfreude.

Surely this macabre train wreck can't go on much longer, can it? Even if it can, I question whether it's even worth the small time I invest in ripping it anymore.

Not bad considering

They had about 100 people but that was actually good considering what happen to them friday. The venue that thy had an agreement with pulled out at the last minute, I think thursday before the game. But he has sponsors backing him and he is a good guy.

That is why we changed the game from friday to sunday.

Hmmm

Well I dont know about that but I do know it was about 1000 in attendence there when we played their season home opener. We made it an exciting game after coming back down by as much as 21, and the fans loved it. Hell I loved, even after losing I felt real good about the game because the fans enjoyed it so much.

For the first time ever I actually sat with my family in the stands with fans as well. Remember for the last 2 seasons, my wife has always been real sick around this time and it just brought tears to my eyes just to see her being able to travel onthe road for the first time. I thought it was so cute that my 9 year old daughter was actualy in tears because there werent any Houston Takers fans. She actualy is gonna sing the national anthem tomorrow. You gus actually will be able to listen to our broadcast on the website and also I will paste it on here for you guys.

Oh by the way, you probably want to take advantage of the fact we are giving away $300 gas vouchers on our websit for like a purchase of a ticket and you dont even have to go to the game to recieve one.

Wish us luck tomorrow guys!!!!!!!!!
