When the Wild were announced I wondered if they might play some Sunday-Friday games in Texas. Fly out on a Friday. Played that Sunday. Have Monday thru Thursday to get to the next venue. Then play Friday and fly home on Saturday.
I understand the whole "have a life and other jobs thing". Your pretty much gone a week by flying to Texas twice anyway. Something like this could really reduce airfare. It's just not always practical.
Life is funny, unless you're too stupid to get the joke.

One thing I noticed is how Alaska has a whole batch of games in Texas and Louisiana from April 21 to May 19, almost a whole month. But I figured something like that might happen, and it was a good way to get 5 of Alaska's 7 road games in at one time. But I wonder how people's bosses will react when they learn their workers are gonna take a month off to play minor league football in Texas.

Is that Frisco vs Alaska or Fiasco in Alaska?

Thursday Night Football

Guess its Thursday Night Football in Alaska. Problem with this is we have only three sporting events here, Alaska Aces hockey, college hockey and Thursday Night at the Fights. Now Thursday night at the Field.

At least there are only two games during the school year on Thursday. Weekday school time sporting events in Alaska get a lot lower turn out. They will need to run promos for these games to make them successfull. I would sell group packs to companies to get decent attendence. You can't give away your tickets or they lose value, but you can make it cheap for people to buy in bunches. Try for 1,000-1,500 group attendees. If half those people come back you are a success.

It would almost have to be they stay in Texas for the month. If not the back and forth airfare plus helping the Texas teams would be around $175K fpr te season. By them staying in Texas the airfare would be cut to $115K. But then you have hotel expenses for approx 27 days as well. And then also the perdiem for IFL players which I have no idea but I would assume at least $30/day per player.
