Sears Centre (Chicago) rejected for UIF

Post by afdave » Tue Oct 03, 2006 6:10 pm

According to an article in the Ft Wayne Journal stating the Freedom are looking to be sold, and might be sold to someone wanting to make them af2, they mentioned that the UIF rejected the Chicago team.

Which is interesting, considering the Sears Centre website and Chicagoland Sports LLC (the owners of the UHL Hounds and the proposed UIF team) both have for awhile (and still now) show that the team will play in the UIF.

Of course, minor league websites are notorious for not updating information promptly, although this is pretty fresh news.

In anycase, do they try to get into another league now? GLIFL? NIFL (shudder)? WIFL?

No, they have 10 days to put things together.

Don't count UIF out yet.

Great thought, but do you have a link or other source?
