:| where's the deal here? Youtube will and does sign just about anyone who can pull eyeballs they do it daily.

As for this deal the IFL could have and appears to be conducting this in house there is no money being exchanged at this point because the IFL must prove that enough clicks will take place in order for there to be a profit sharing opportunity, simply set up a utube page and broadcast away if the clicks are there they will contact you, this baseless announcement had no substance but good for them.

There is a name for news like that (Fake News)

I would consider this more like a pointless press release. It's not really news. As you mentioned, anyone can basically broadcast on Youtube Live as long as you have an account in good standing.

They will likely structure something like the D-League had a couple seasons ago. Maybe YouTube (Google) will do some promoting on their side as well. It does help that all the broadcast will now be on the same platform and that is worth sending out a release to announce this. In another words, not one team on YouTube, one on Ustream, another on FaceBook live etc...

I will note that while YouTube live was hot a couple years ago Facebook live in now the direction that a lot of small leagues are going to. So this may benefit both the IFL and YouTube. A league wide deal also probably eliminates the annoying pre-roll commercials that play before the broadcast.

Also, its possible the league has setup a broadcast standards deal. Maybe something like multiple cameras, replay, graphics etc... I doubt it but you never know.

I dont know how Youtube works for commercial business vs indiduals but the ifl did say 'partnered' with which implies more than - is utilizing.

Plus these web business are looking for exclusive content

They'll get a penny or two per every subscriber or every unique view per game. There is a specific rate that advertisers pay and its based on every one thousand views. Any "partnership" just locks in a rate they'll get from YouTube.

This is far from lucrative and may cost them money since it costs between $1,500-5,000 to broadcast a game on YouTube. However, YouTube may assist in providing upgraded equipment for the broadcast.

Keep in mind the NWSL has put games on YouTube for all four seasons and had 3.5M views last season and broke even.

No broadcast deal. Just a free platform to show games. This is not "Fake News" that tried to take President Trump down and failed miserably, but rather, just reporting a new method for fans to watch games.

This will be the local broadcast, meaning several locales (SF, Iowa, SPK) will have an excellent broadcast while others will not be so good (WF).

I am sure the former Arena teams are pleased they no longer have to shell out millions to appear on ESPN to very few viewers nationally. This way, there is no cost and the fans who can't make it to the games can catch it at home.

Replay was considered, but voted down due to lack of multiple camera angles, which would result in further delay of the game length time. Of course, most calls, because of the 2 camera angles, would result in a "call on the field stands" anyway, so why bother until a seamless system can be instituted? However, the game video provider Vidswap has provided the technology to instantly transmit a play to an Ipad or Laptop, for both use of the coaches as well as replay. Thus, replay is under serious consideration in the future, as the league continues to grow successfully.

This is just another reason the IFL is now the #1 indoor league in the country. It truly is about keeping the operating costs not only down, but way down.

IFL Partners With YouTube
Jan 24, 2017

The Indoor Football League (IFL) has announced a partnership with YouTube that will provide a free live stream of all IFL games during the 2017 season on the world's leading video provider.

Orders response:

No broadcast deal. Just a free platform to show games. This is not "Fake News" that tried to take President Trump down and failed miserably, but rather, just reporting a new method for fans to watch games.

Well now appears we have here is a failure to communicate. follow orders; movie (Cool Hand Luke)

Mr orders you have contradicted your own statement, and certainly the IFL did 4th exposed that already. What makes the news appear to be fake is the way its states the IFL announces a partnership as if the utube people made some type of over reaching announcement in support of the free sign up status, they should have simply stated they were going to use the utube platform as a distribution point for games.

32% support base on the other part, the worst in history for the position, I know its early right.......

IFL used Norm MacDonald.
http://deadspin.com/norm-macdonald-call ... 1792466264
Norm hopped on and gave his takes on the team, football in general, his time on Saturday Night Live, and how to fix overtime (take one player off every few minutes). The play below has all the best aspects of the IFL: ****ty drone footage, Norm, and an injury caused by the shoddy playing surface.
