I said, "other than the one." I meant that Wyoming is the only team that qualifies as a quality opponent against S.D. this year. In my opinion, Beaumont did not bring a significant challenge to the field this year.
I will also say that that failure of S.D. and Casper to get together again is significant. Casper beat S.D. very early in the season, when they weren't in shape and had not developed a rhythm as a team. Then, later S.D. beat Casper.
Did Casper win because they were playing an inexperienced team? Did S.D. win solely because they had home field advantage? Or, did S.D. develop into a dominant team vs. Casper?
I think a final game would be very telling. It's too bad that could not have been worked out.
you said it brother!
I have no issue with that. S.D is obviously a strong and proud organization.
The only thing S.D. lacked this year was quality opponents (other than the one). That is the only reason you are in a position to need to "fight" to legitimize your success.
Next year, with legitimate opponents, you will not need to fight for anything. This argument will actually be proven on the field. No one will be able to deny your successes.
AS to quality opponents THAT GOES FOR WYOMING AND THE GUARD AS WELL AS THE ENTIRE LEAGUE!
We only feel this way is because we know we could compete against either one of these two.

Nice comeback! Right to the point! And oh so original!

Send a team to San Diego so they can beat them and get a trophy,
so we can be done with the NIFL talk. The league is done.
The owners of these teams want to make it a serious issue about
who wins plays for the championship, but they werent very serious
about choosing a league when they joined the NIFL. Teams were folding
left and right last yearand still teams stayed and new owners bought in.
I know someone who looked at buying a franchise 2 years ago, but
declined because of all the problems. Why didnt anyone else see these
problems, especially when they are about to spend a lot of money,
and when they are about to involve a whole community in supporting
there team. Here are these fans and there kids buying team gear
and buying tickets and the sponsors who shell out money to support
the team and these owners dont even investigate the league they are
joining. Its unbelievable.

Hey Bonkers, realize that you are on a NIFL message board! If you don't like the topics go to the AIFL board I'm sure there are plenty of Guard fans celebrating their AIFL preseason game win on last Saturday!

and at least they played a championship game...what have yall done?
Again what Championship did they play in? What league trophy did they hoist?
So again Dirk you are misquoting information! If you could answer that, that would a good post! By the way (yall) you all must try and be honest with this question!
What CHAMPIONSHIP!
Or was it a AIFL PRESEASON GAME!
