Someone help please explain this ???

Post by herb1 » Wed Jun 07, 2006 4:37 pm

Palm Beach Phantoms no home venue, never played or intended on playing if they had to pay.
Florida Frenzy based in the Hard Rock Casino in Hollywood not bad.

Here is the question ???

The following games have been forfeited by the home teams and
will result in a forfeit win for each opponent.

Lakeland W Dayton L
Wyoming W Big Sky L
Palm Beach W Florida L

They have a place to play ??? Palm Beach does not even have a team. How come Florida Forfeits ???

Does this make any sense to anyone here or is it Steelye Dan, Pretzel Logic like the rest of the C em and Shafte em Shiver NIFL ???

That stood out to me as well. Florida's attendance has been amongst the worst in the league, so maybe they're calling it quits or just going to play on the road. Still doesn't explain giving a W to a defunct team, unless the league has taken over PB to operate them on the road. Then, they're not technically defunct.

Florida's schedule:

Monday May 8, 2006 07:30 PM @ Palm Beach Phantoms

SUNDAY JUNE 11, 2006 05:00 PM PALM BEACH PHANTOMS

May 8th was Palm Beach's fault. Therefore that game should be a forfeited win for Florida or rescheduled in the future.

June 11th should be on schedule. Even the Florida Frenzy website suggests the game is on.

I'm betting what we have on the NIFL website is a misprint. Florida will get a forfeited win from Palm Beach this weekend for the May 8th game that never got rescheduled as hoped, AND in addition both teams will be playing each other for the official June 11th matchup. Florida will be either 1-1 for this weekend or 2-0. Like a baseball-like doubleheader, Palm Beach and Florida will get two games each added to their win/loss totals after this weekend.

Although I suppose it is possible the Florida Frenzy have been evicted from their home arena too?! If that is the case those two teams will end up splitting the 2 game series at one a piece. The visiting team gets credited with a forfeited win with each matchup.

If you don't let the people with the money know you prefer the NIFL game system, you won't see any stable leagues copying the NIFL game system for your enjoyment!

Frenzy paid off ???

Post by kristin411 » Wed Jun 07, 2006 8:38 pm

Latest rumor I have been hearing is that Mike Lind contacted the Frenzy ownership and has paid them off NOT TO PLAY Palm Beach (so Frenzy forfeits the game,,sure the Frenzy players will love that BS).....Sounds like he (ML) is still mad at Palm Beach for trying to use "his" uniforms and equipment. Now the [email protected]#*$ is trying to be in controll and keep anyone from using "his stuff". Sounds like a Napoleon complex to me,,, can anyone say "pathetic little man"?? Can't pay his players, staff, venue, videographer, etc. but he can pay the whole other team!!!! WTF Can anyone confirm or deny this rumor?? Anyone on here from the Frenzy organization?
