And it seems that owner of the A2 D Mc just called the Ford arena in Baumont Tx regarding moving a TEAM there?
D-Mac: I am here to discuss possibly placing another arena football team over in your Ford Center.
FA head: (calls phone) Hello, Ford Park security police? We have an obvious mental patient on the loose here...
There has been talk about a few other cities here and there:

- Yakima was looking into get a team.
- Kent, Wash, outside of Seattle.
- Carolina or Charlotte area.
- Maybe Rochester, NY (why would the AIFA owner have a team in Buffalo and not put Roch in the same league)
Putting another indoor football team of any sort in Charlotte would be foolish. The fan support just isn't there.

I think that it would be a smart move for D-Mac to put a franchise in Bmt, right on the heels of another failed franchise. I mean, we all know how well that worked out for him in Laredo. Brilliant!

No credibility

I thought this was a discussion board not something from a comedy channel reject show. Apparently I was wrong.

Fans of IFL should spend more time promoting the sport, not bashing the misfortunes of other leagues.
You seem to be forgetting the multiple 7,000+ nights the Titans had. The owner just didn't have the cash. Bring in local boys and you're guaranteed some fans, make them a winning team, and you've got more. Tallahassee is football country whether it's FAMU, FSU, HS, or Arena/Indoor. Tally loves it's football.
The Titans' fans were great. The Civic Center, and its director, will not allow another team in the building after several failed attempts ranging from AIFA to AF2 to Hockey. As long as someone has the financial backing (and is willing to take a loss for a year or two) then Tallahassee would work. Now the town just needs another venue to play in.

As for the Copperheads, I know they are staying put. Their ownership group has them working towards the 09 season already and they're doing some interesting things to build the organization to a real contender - if not on the field than at least in Houston. I can't imagine where the rumors about moving to Jacksonville came from.

I hope you are right. I won't pretend to "know" anything, because I don't, but if I had to bet, I'd bet that we'll be back.

Laredo moved to Peoria, they didn't fold.
Macgregor must be doing something right, he's got 9 teams and 4 made the playoffs, 2 were in the conference Championship games and 1 will be in the ArenaCup. He's looked into purchasing more teams and contemplated relocating some others. Sounds like a lot on his plate and many are glad he came to the af2.

By the way, how many teams do you own or manage?
It's a little tougher running a multi-million dollar corporation than it is to poke fun on a keyboard.

Coach let go for refusing a pay cut, claims that the team has money problems.

Ownership denies money problems.

I believe the coach, FWIW.

I don't know the coach, but I do personally know someone in the ownership group. Is it possible they decided to pay him commensurate with his record, .500 ? Afterall there is a Hall of Fame coach available for the higher salary.

Not being sarcastic, just asking.

Why offer to pay a coach an average salary to perform an average job? If there is a better coach readily available to them at the higher salary, then terminate the current coach and hire the better one. Forcing the current coach into a position where he has no choice but to resign is a copout.
