AFL Slight Oversite?
In the National Conference, the Arizona Rattlers (13-3) will be the No. 1 seed. The No. 2 seed will be the Los Angeles KISS (7-8 followed by the No. 3 seeded Cleveland Gladiators (7-9) and then the No. 4 seeded Portland Steel (2-13).
2016 POSTSEASON FIRST ROUND:
This watered down version of a playoff shows what's wrong with the AFL
When you have a everyone gets a trophy mentality you lose in the end.
The high schools in Texas use this baseless system too, a team that wins only 2 games has no business in the playoff unless its a two team league.

I couldn't agree with you more. Unfortunately, the league is looking to do the same thing next year unless they expand by 3 more teams out west and move Cleveland back to the eastern conference. That way you have 12 teams and the regular season will mean more than it does this year

Ok, Pounder I'll give you that on the gate. But here is the mistake as that game played out Portland clearly was over matched and blown off the field by the Rattlers and that hurt the product itself.
In the first game the refs clearly intended to help Orlando as the 4th down play to tie the game in regulation played out with 1 plus seconds on the game clock. One thing for sure is that the qb of Orlando didn't break the goal line, and just when one would think the replay would decide the game it didn't as the refs blew off the obvious, didn't matter as Jacksonville won it anyway in overtime, the kick after failed by Orlando to win it by 1.
The amount of holding allowed that could be easily seen in open space, was missed by officials also hurt the product, sure Orlando is a league darling but in that playoff game they were simply out played and should have lost the game in regulation. It appeared the fix was in but nobody told Jacksonville, did I just suggest a rigged game? it probably wasn't but it sure had elements of one.
God Bless The AFL- and nobody else .......... joke of course.

"Hurt the product?"
This product has no integrity to begin with.
They only went to 8 teams in the playoffs because they're down to only eight teams now. Having six of the eight make the playoffs would have been laughable, I guess, but having all eight is (obviously) worse.
But they didn't do it because of the so-called "Wussification of America" or to make Tampa Bay and Portland feel better about themselves (or even to get someone an additional home game, because no one's getting rich here).
They did it because they've gone from 14 teams just two years ago to eight.
"The fix was in," that's funny. Because there's money to be made fixing Arena Football games.

Old enough to remember when bashing the ABA was fun.

Arizona, clearly runs the league they have the biggest fan base 13,192 to watch what was already known to be a butt kicking on Portland, Philly only drew 5,540.
As for the fix it was meant as a "haha", but in America someone is always going to make a dime so its not so far fetched as to not being capable of happening.
Now the 5,540 would be a number many indoor teams would love to reach, and for many of those who have been around a while and still have yet to scale to this number then a question of what are they not doing in order to reach it at the least once or twice in a season.
