Do you think Reading will be a worthy opponent? What if Canton upsets Reading? We could end up with another one of those 49ers vs. Broncos-like Super Bowl where the game is a blowout.

It really doesn't matter if the two best teams play for the championship. If you look at a tournament bracket, there's only one little line sticking out at the end.

Meaning: tournaments aren't designed to see who comes in second place, only to find out who the best team is.

It would be ideal if it were the two best teams in the finals, but at the end of the day, it's all about the champions.

If the league had played 2 fewer crossover games in the regular season the criss-cross format for the final 4 could have been possible.

It would be cool as hell if the owners could have a conference call right now or as we get to closer to a final four and see if there's any extra money somewhere that could be used to cover travel costs and announce the change in plans for the playoffs.

Personally, I'm not a fan of crossover games at all, but if they're going to be played, I'd rather see them during the regular season. It puts a little bit of a guage on where the two divisions stand in comparison to each other.

If those games are played relatively early, like around the midway point, teams have time to stockpile some cash to make those trips before hand, and there's enough time left in the season to make some of it back.

You are confusing a power ranking with a power rating.

Sagarin does a power rating. I do a power ranking. A rating and a ranking are cousins to each other but are vastly different. Ranking is what is deserved based on past raw wins and losses, while a rating is based on the potential to win the next game in the future.

Reading could very well win it all...and I would not be surprised. The point of the debate was to break from tradition and criss cross in and of itself to get the two best teams in the championship game.
