Does any one know if maybe charlote or asheville might get a team. this year
I know there was plans for charlotte. I also think asheville would be good since I only live about a half an hour away. Unfortunately Greensboro is
the best I got and I live in the hickory area of NC.

The team would be swallowed up by all the other avenues with which people can spend money on sports and entertainment. Probably wouldn't get enough press as well and marketing yourself in a bigger city takes more money than a smaller city.

I believe it wouldwork in charlotte. case in point St louis has a team, and they do great up there and they have all kinds of sports teams, and they are a much bigger city than charlotte

The Greenville, SC area is being explored for a possible team. May not be 2007, but 2008 is a strong possibility.

Using STL as an example isn't going to work. This is a huge sports town. Three semi pro football teams in the area. An Aussie rules team, a female team, the Rams, and The Rage. The Cards, and two minor league baseball teams. The Blues, and minor league hockey. Indoor soccer, a couple rugby teams, and whatever I missed. Then you have all of the colleges. When St. Louisans aren't smoking, drinking, or over-eating we like to watch people doing something healthy.
