Sounds like the Arena Football version of Kenny Powers/Season 2!

no they did not go belly up, the Badgers are travel only. Plus the owner is keeping the franchise in Fredericksburg which isn't exactly Richmond.

if anyone knew how to advertise they could put a team in Shreveport, LA

really people in Monroe LA didn't even know one flip about the battlewings

just for the love of all things do not bring a team to Monroe LA
look up the twincity gators and the bayoiu beast

though id love to see a team in Monroe, just no one is willing to put in the work to attract the fans

I think this is a common problem with alot of teams that try to make it. No advertising. I know the NJ Revolution existed for five years and nobody ever knew they existed in Northern NJ. Only if you actually went to a game and they expected word of mouth would have thousands of people show up each weekend. Hell, the local media didnt even know they existed. What if, for argumentive sake, these leagues help teams market teams playing under their banner. What do the leagues do to promote themselves. Nothing. What does it cost to run a league? They collect fees from teams, what does that money go towards other than a personal bank account for league personnel. Teams incur all costs. Perhaps if the league used dues to assist with workmans comp, playing surfaces or marketing, their might be a better product overall. maybe then teams would have a better chance of surviving, leagues would have a better reputation and they would stop being a revolving door. What does any of these leagues do for their teams except give them some alphabet letters to play under and take money from ownership.

Exactly - those prior teams don't hurt anything there, because no one knew the teams existed.

Call Willie Robertson, it could be the West Monroe Ducks and he can plug it on his TV show.
The Robertson clan loves them some football.
