How about an AIFA/IFL Merger
This could maybe be the teams that would play in this Merged Indoor Football League
Baltimore Mariners
Wenatchee Valley Venom
San Jose Wolves
Erie Storm
Reading Express
Wyoming Calvary
Amarillo Venom
Austin Turfcats
Billings Outlaws
Bloomington Extreme
Chicago Slaughter
Corpus Christi Hammerheads
Fairbanks Grizzles
New Franchise in Anchorage, Alaska
Kent Predators
La Crosse Spartans
Omaha Beef
Richmond Revolution
Rochester Raiders
San Angelo Stampede Express
Sioux City Bandits
Sioux Falls Storm
Tri-Cities Fever
West Michigan ThunderHawks
West Texas Roughnecks
Wichita Wild
No New Expansion Franchises expect for the New Anchorage, Alaska Franchise, only existing Franchises that are not ran by the League Investors. Do not have John Morris and Michael Mink be apart of the Newly Formed Merged League.
And use the AIFA's Rules expect for the UNO Rule and the 2 Men in Motion Rule used in the AIFA and the IFL.
And then in the Years for the Future, 1 Expansion Team per year at the most.
What do you guys think?

San Jose claims that they are too good to be around these bush leagues past this season. So we don't really want them, they can go AFL. What is going on with the Colorado Ice? I personally would want to see them in something like this. Gotta have at least 2 road games within 4 hours. I've been an advocate of returning to a Billings rivalry and starting a new Colorado rivalry for us.

But whose radio show would you dump? Hazen or Puska?
Some of us in the field have been advocating this for years. Several 8-12 team leagues under one strong national umbrella.
And to do it right -- no Benizio, no Mink, no Morris, no Haines, no Dittman, no Spitaleri, no Sprowls, no Hager involved in the league office. As much new blood as possible with as little previous indoor experience possible.

Good idea, but do you think any of them could check their egos at the door to get this done? I don't.
I think the only way to have the "minor" indoor football thing work is to keep the leagues small and regional. And by regional, I mean nothing more than a 6-7 hour drive for any road game. If you look to expand beyond that, you are getting too big. Until something like that happens, this level of competition will not work over the long term.

Good points by Mel 3476 and D Dan while none of the current leagues own the title as a Micosoft type giant of the Sport.
New blood would be good for the Sport and also a real grading system which wouldn't be a bad thing for fans, and teams.
No one says all teams are created the same and it may be a good thing to see crossover games with a upset here and there, from what is preceived to be the weaker team.
You have to remember at one time the College Allstars used to defeat the NFL Superbowl Champs in what the NFL played down as an exhibition, that game was ceased because of preception from a fans outlook and possible injury, and other things, but if you are the World Champions a bunch of rookies from College couldn't possibly Win right.
