Fayetteville Guard?? AIFA or SIFL??

Post by perusix » Wed Sep 23, 2009 11:09 pm

We have not heard any news from the Guard.

Does anyone know if they are going to join Carolina and Columbus?

Maybe the Southern teams should keep the costs low and try to stick together.

You have to remember, this is one of the two legit teams that stuck around the NIFL until the bitter end, so there's no telling what they're going to do. That said, I wouldn't rule out the move.

The owner of the Guard use to read the message boards. Not much news has been reported in Fayetteville. I check everday for updates in the Fayobserver.com, but nothing. They make it extremely difficult for military members that are away from Fort Bragg to follow the team.

So when will Carolina and Columbus have to make a decision as to which league they will be going to?

That's a done deal, they are both in the SIFL.

SIFL its a good league and all but I think its a downgrade for the force and lions. The turfcats from that league played one season and switched to the IFL. I feel that the CIFL & SIFL is a great start up league for the next level

I think we will soon see the SIFL surpass the AIFA in the pecking order, so I don't think it will be a downgrade at all for the Lions and Force. I am a little concerned about the Augusta team, but otherwise, the league looks solid.

The Austin Turfcats left that league and went to a bigger one the IFL if they feel like they needed a better challenge then they should have switched to the IFL aswell or AF2 or AF1 like the orem thunder did

Yes, Austin left and went to a league with more teams, but the IFL just has a different set of problems.

All of the indoor leagues have a problem here and there but the AIFA I think will still do better the sifl its great its a southern league cuz im from the south and play indoor ball but it won't be to long in my opinion that the force and lions will come around and notice that they should have stayed. but im guessin the sifl is cheaper to play in
