I cant go into detail's guy's; but, I'd like to ask your input... what do you think is a reasonable amount to charge to:
1) Design the team's logo
2) Design the website
3) Update and maintain the site for 1yr...
Please let me know what you think...

What to charge for website design is to open of a question to be answered on any message board.
What type of graphics are needed?
Are you able to use templates, or is it all hand conding?
Do they want back doors to their website?
How much time is involved with administrating the website over that year?
Are you able to sub-contract some of it out to a third world country?
Are you being asked to host the site, or someone else?
What features do they require, vs want?
Is there video requirements, rss feeds, forums, etc?
I would suggest putting a contract out to see what someone else would charge on a website like scriptlance.com etc, let them come back with resposes and this will give you a ballpark.
Overall, the best webmasters know when a project is above their head, and will bring in the talent they need to finish the job, only reason noting this is that you stated you are new to this.
Dont agree to a price until you find out what the going rate is and what the real requirements are, and get them in writing, with partial payment up front.
Worth noting also, dont spend to much time on this, unless your pretty sure they are going to hire you. Lots of companies shop around and you might have 0% chance of even getting a contract.
