That'd be why Herb Fullerton sold the team to its current ownership.

It is very safe to say that the new/current ownership does not have a lack of funds. You do not open a new store/office in a mall, book major musical talent for your home games and spend money like they are spending it in Springfield if you have a "lack" of funds.

John, come on. You should know better.

This is becoming a joke. You go to a message board to get news and all you find is BS about everything and everyone. When a league that a team leaves says they kicked them out for a reason it is probably to cover themselves so they don't look bad. Get a clue.

I know, no sweat, just trying to keep the truth flowing around here. Keeping it real, ya know.
Word has it behind the scenes, there might be a lack of funds for a new CIFL team in Illinois, wonder who that might be, and if it is true? I hope they are not like the other owners who burned Springfield the last time. Im bet Judith does not want to hear that so soon.
Probably not who you're thinking of. I'm guessing Chicago and with what happened with the UIF and Chicago, the financial distress doesn't surprise me.

Based on what it takes to enter some of the leagues that the Chicago team is involved in, I find it hard to believe that they have money issues. UIF expansion/franchise fees are chump change compared to the UHL and NLL. Someone hinted on the UIF board that the league was requiring them to pay five times the amount of the other expansion teams, so maybe that had something to do with them not joining.

Given Margenaeu's history in some UHL markets, I believe that money may be a problem.

So I'd rather spend a quarter of an ABA franchise to repair my car, as opposed to spending a franchise and a half to get a new car that might have some planned obsolescence that causes it to break down 5 days after the end of the warranty period.
