The Indoor Football Alliance and Supreme Indoor Football are pleased to announce they have entered into an agreement with Backlight TV to televise a number of the leagues arena football games in 2016. Games will be produced in three camera high definition with a two person announcing crew and be available on both traditional outlets like cable television and new content platforms like Connected TV. Connected TV will bring in a national and international audience which will allow viewers to watch games on multiple platforms in addition to television like laptops, tablets and smartphones.
Connected TV is the wave of the future. Many companies since the surge of success with Netflix are now moving broadcasting of original content through connected TVs and Mobile Devices. Companies like Yahoo, Microsoft, and Amazon are all in the process of creating original content for all connected platforms. Organizations like the National Football League are now stepping into the Connected TV field with the broadcast of last Sundays game between the Buffalo Bills and the Jacksonville Jaguars on Yahoo.

The Indoor Football Alliance and Supreme Indoor Football are excited about this new technology in sports broadcasting and are proud to have partnered with one of the leaders in the field Backlight TV says National Director Jack Bowman. This will allow our fans multiple opportunities to watch our games, no longer will fans have to rush home to watch a sporting event they can now just pull out their laptop, tablet or smartphone and view from anywhere.

While we are still working on a logistics schedule across the league to see which games will be aired in 2016 we are pleased to announce the Cape Fear Heroes of Supreme Indoor Football will have four of its 2016 games aired on Backlight TV.

Backlight TV (Innova TV Networks, LLC) formerly known as New Media Television Networks, Inc. and before that Penn Atlantic, Inc. The company delivered over 10,000 college athletic events annually in addition to a number of minor league and scholastic sporting events via broadband. In 2008 the company provided streaming services to over 225 colleges and universities.

With the changing face of new media the company moved repositioned itself into the delivery of more long form programming content and expanded distribution to mobile devices including smart phones and tablets. Recently, with the explosion in connected television usage, Backlight TV has made a push to not only bring a vast array of content to this platform but to aggressively monetize it not unlike what is found on cable television. What began as a website primarily for college sports event distribution 10 years ago, is growing into a platform of network channels that targets the viewing interests of all audiences domestically and internationally.

Backlight TV (Innova TV Networks, LLC) continues to break new ground in the connected television space. Not only is Backlight one of the few distribution platforms which can dynamically trigger a commercial break within live events, but the company has also developed and launched one of the most comprehensive and appealing apps available for television viewers. Backlight will be the first to offer a wide and varied array of quality video programming content to the public all from one digital platform for free.
