If anyone has any information on the current status of the MISL and what it will look like when it returns, please post it here. Only serious inquiries please. Has anybody noticed the current MISL Website and that all of the information has been removed and only links to the current teams excluding the Monterrey LaRazza are now posted? Is this what I currently predicted; that the MISL will become an East Coast / Central adventure and leave the PASL-Pro to the West with some inter - league games? Only time will tell. Once more, only serious inquiries please; since this is a response to fans of indoor soccer. I too love the outdoor variety, but truly wish to know what is the truth about the indoor version, and this forum is the best source for all fans to get information since little to no news is on the newswires. Thank you.
There was this blurb in this morning's Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel:
Wave awaits changes
The Milwaukee Wave was left without a league when the Major Indoor Soccer League ceased operations last month.
But Wave chief operating officer Michael Lafferty said the club was selling tickets, operating summer youth camps and waiting for a new structure to be announced within two to three weeks.
The MISL's official shutdown date is Friday. League owners, including Wave managing partner Charles Krause, then will be meeting to talk about a new structure for the 2008-'09 season, Lafferty said.
The Wave played 15 regular-season home games a year ago, in addition to three school-day exhibition games and one home playoff contest.
The Wave has played in Milwaukee since the 1984-'85 season, making it the longest-running pro soccer franchise in the country.
"I can't comment" on specifics of the re-organization, Lafferty said. "I'm excited with the framework of how this will be coming together."
