Baltimore played four seasons more than Milwaukee.
How far back does the original Blast team go in the original MISL? The answer to that will determine which city has had continuous indoor soccer the longest. No doubt whether it is Milwaukee or Baltimore, they are by far the best cities/franchises of those that are in play. Both have won 4 titles.
The MISL Blast were in Baltimore for the 1980-81 season. They were the
Houston Summit for two years prior.

Interesting point about the championships...Where did Cleveland go wrong that
they had two winning, and somewhat supported franchises close up shop?

BTW -- Both Cleveland franchises folded after losing a championship series.
In the case of Force #1, it was their only trip to the finals.
Adios, OSC message boards. (2007-2017)

Any further information on the restructuring of the current MISL? What is the status of expansion into Louisville, KY, Guadalajara, Mexico, and Albany, NY? Has anybody considered that the new PASL Professional Division and current MISL could each form regional divisions and have their respective champions play each other. Thus, indoor soccer could be played on a regional structure to save cost while simultaneously providing stability under two leagues with one major operating umbrella. I.E. look at the NFL (AFC vs NFC) or Major League Baseball (American vs. National Leagues). This scenario is not too far from reality. Think about it. Why is California leaving the MISL; but to only save on travel cost. Look at the proposed cities in the PASL. Where are they located, but in the Southwest (i.e. Dallas, Stockton, Houston, Arizona). Why not shift the Monterrey LaRaza to the PASL and bring in Guadalajara as well. Then the MISL could focus on the Midwest and East Coast to reduce travel cost (bring back remainder of current MISL Franchises, add Louisville Thunder, Cleveland Force, Wichita Wings, St. Louis Steamers, New York Arrows, and Kansas City Comets to revive some previous franchises.) Indoor soccer would be contained under one umbrella with two leagues using regional divisions; then we could have inter - league play every year for short periods of time just like MLB. This would cut down on travel cost, create new rivalries, provide marketing opportunites to franchises in other cities with greater exposure, and give indoor soccer more clout with the networks if indoor soccer could present a unified front. Another question I have is about the PASL. Will the Dallas franchise be a revival of the Sidekicks and will the Houston franchise be the old CISL Hotshots or original Houston Summit?

Any and all thoughts are welcome. My hope is that both the MISL and PASL realize that together they can survive and make money as one super league. But only by using a regional format to cut cost. Here is how I would divide up the market if I had any say under a new Super Indoor Soccer League:

MISL North: Baltimore, Philadelphia, New Jersey, Cleveland Force (expansion), Orlando Sharks, New York Arrows (long Island expansion), Pittsburgh Spirit (expansion)

MISL West: Milwaukee, Detroit, Chicago, Louisville (expansion), St. Louis Steamers (expansion), Kansas City Comets (expansion), Wichita Wings
(expansion)

PASL West: Monterrey (move to PASL from MISL), Guadalajara (expansion moved from MISL to PASL), Dallas Sidekicks, Houston Hotshots, Arizona Thunder, Stockton Cougars, San Diego Sockers, and Utah Freeze (Salt Lake City).

So the Blast have the most league titles of any team that was in the MISL with 5, 1 more than the Wave. However, including defunct teams, the San Diego Sockers have the most titles with I want to say 8 in 10 years...all in the original MISL. The longest indoor soccer dynasty.

I don't think that will work because many indoor soccer players also play outdoor soccer. So having both play in the summer won't do. You will also notice that in the other 2 sports which have both an indoor and an outdoor version, football and lacrosse, the indoor and outdoor seasons are not concurrent either.
