Independent league play

Post by Browns44 » Sat Nov 01, 2014 3:32 am

Is the Frontier League doing itself a disfavor by NOT having regular season inter league play?

Can-Am and AA are doing so, should the FL do same?

Issues might be the different rules for the age of the players and another is the Frontier L. have enough teams that there is really no need to look for other teams to play. Right now the 2 divisions only play each other twice, each having a home series and the same divisions play each other four times, twice at home. Maybe what should be looked at is a series at the end of the season against the winners of each league, world series of independent leagues?

The Can-Am and AA do it because both leagues have an odd number of teams and they share a league commissioner (and I think some other front office functions).

imo can be avoided and should be by not allowing 1 team expansions and keeping teams on the road for multiple years . if you want to have a tournament at years end i could see that
