The best pitcher in Cuba is now a Capitale
Les Capitales de Québec have confirmed that Lazaro Blanco, the best pitcher in Cuba in 2016-2017 will be part of the team in 2017 along with the return of Yurisbel Gracial and Yordan Manduley and young (21) outfielder Julio Martinez.
Except for the return of veteran Karl Gélinas on the mound, all the pitching staff will have new faces this year. As for position players, only 3 new players will wear the Capitales uniform. Taylor Oldham, James McOwen with Julio Martinez
A word on Yurisbel Gracial. It took him 2 months to get acquainted with his new environment last year (.256 in july) but once he felt confortable, he took off. A .387 BA in august (28 games), .350 in september (5 games) and .381 in the playoffs (5 games) During those last 37 games he hit 9 home runs and had 40 RBIs with only 29 Ks. Baring injuries, I wouldn't be surprised if he dominates the league this year.

You make a valid point as the secondary pitches at this level (especially from rookies) tend to be lacking in consistency. The percentage of types of pitches thrown is not available in indy ball as far as I know but it's probably pretty close to the stats at the major league level.
In my book, when a hitter jumps his averave by 100 points at the end of the season, it means the guy ajusted to what the pitchers were throwing.
That's a smart hitter!
I don't expect him to get dumber this year!
