Salina is on a three-game winning streak and just swept Sioux City. The Stockade is up to nine wins (and 49 losses). Salina goes to St. Paul this weekend.

Saturday's line score:
Wichita;011;020;000;—4;10;0
Cleburne;000;000;000;—0;4;0
Cooper (W, 5-1), Campbell 8, Devine 9 and M.Medina; Farfan (L, 3-3), Galbreath 3, Misell 5, Cox 7, Upperman 9 and Grant-Parks, Courson 7. Time — 3:09. Attendance — n/a.

Interesting. Cleburne only drew 1,200 and 1,700 the previous two nights.

Team Yesterday Total Openings Avg
St Paul Saints - 256,758 31 8,283
Winnipeg Goldeyes 4,206 138,984 32 4,343
Kansas City T-Bones 5,228 151,377 38 3,984
Gary SouthShore RailCats - 120,664 34 3,549
Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks - 105,328 30 3,511
Wichita Wingnuts - 108,334 32 3,385
Lincoln Saltdogs - 103,503 33 3,136
Sioux Falls Canaries 3,427 67,300 30 2,243
Cleburne Railroaders - 73,491 42 1,750
Texas AirHogs - 44,084 31 1,422
Sioux City Explorers 1,441 39,032 29 1,346
Total: 14,302 1,208,855 362 3,339

Sioux Falls is having a bit of an uptick. Sioux City is still struggling. The AirHogs are up over last year, but it will be interesting to see how long they stay in Grand Prairie after this season.
I should add, Salina just picked up it's 10th win of the season.

trick, game —used chiefly in the phrase the jig is up

Yes sir the game is up in Cleburne, they haven't drew 1700 since the first game give away free tickets.

Even though they are still giving away tickets appears there are few takers, they are closer to an average of 800 per game, and that is high take a look at any replay video on AA game site and its clear when the league post those 1700 numbers they are simply pulling it from the air.

They only offered 750 free give away bags last night and 250 whistles,so if they were really expecting a 1700 crowd, Cleburne is operating on fumes now and that ownership group without nelson's money covering cost is in trouble, they won't draw over 700 the remaining schedule home dates for the season.

And if the Airhogs were to draw 1200 it would be like winning that league's championship at mid-season point, you will notice that they refuse to show any video on attending fans, they did have that 450 crowd this season slightly lower than the 600 average and the high of 900 last season, all there numbers are not trust worthy when it comes to attendance.

Great job Salina  10 win's and now on to the playoff's lol.

NK, are you suggesting the Airhogs still have a future? anywhere. Not a serious question we have the answer already.....

They can't go back to Amarillo (the Missons are moving there). Other suburban teams in MLB markets have made it, but it takes marketing skills the AirHogs either don't have or can't afford.

Less than 400 in stands tonight in Cleburne  Cleburne attempted to announce 1,000 but simply look at the replay on AA game site, even if every person at that game sat in one section they couldn't get to 1,000....

The Airhogs have limped alone for the last three years, you're correct they haven't a clue about the market they operate within. (attendance yesterday 603) and even that is probably not true.

Cleburne 1,133 for game on August 3 fake news

The question is exactly where were they seated, it clearly was less than 600 at the game, and tonight August 4 even less are there. its live on the AA game site right now but whatever the crowd numbers will be announced tomorrow the replay will contradict.

As stated before they can't even give away the free tickets they are giving away its doubtful they will see a crowd of 1100 the remaining home schedule.

1,955 yesterday (Really) https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid ... 429&type=3

Only if you're counting empty seats

The picture tells the story of a franchise going no where fast, and answer's the question of why a city should never offer a stadium for free use to a minor league sports team, no matter how much they kick and scream about leaving, moving or relocating.

Cleburne citizen's have gotten screwed in this deal, no organizations are lining up to rent the stadium, because the failing baseball team has two years free rent and would use any rental fee money to benefit them while continuing this fake success trial period.

This relationship will sour next season as attendance numbers continue to drop, and not much will be booked at the stadium. They start paying up in 2019 $25,000 is the reported amount year one, but if they had to pay this season they are belly up already and only the dumb negotiation good graces of the city has saved them thus far. ;)

Sure a minor league sports team does offer some function for a community, but most don't have a vision beyond the field of play in a changing society that looks upon community issues from a much different perspective beyond just being entertained.

I was watching the Cleburne game yesterday (Wichita was rained out). There was a very light crowd. Well under the 1,800 reported (I didn't count, but it could have been 180). They kept showing a skybox with a few people in it. I did notice some soccer markings in the outfield (A PDL team plays there).
It's an all-turf field, so they do need to let the local high school and summer teams use it.
If the Railroaders can't make it, it would be a good place for a summer college team.
